As a forerunner of the first “OCCI e-Magazine” starting in April 2006,
this Bulletin is to introduce the new e-Magazine from the Osaka Chamber of
Commerce and Industry (OCCI) presenting timely information on business
trends and events mainly concerned with OCCI, for the attention of all
those of Osaka-based foreign consulates, trade offices, foreign companies
and chambers of commerce and industry.

We aim to provide useful business information timely and compactly and
we welcome any constructive suggestions or comments to help us meet the
readers' needs. Thank you.

【PROMOTION SEMINAR AND FORUM TO STRENGTHEN OVERSEAS ACTIVITIES OF O-BIC】
　◆In Shanghai (March 24th 2006)　　◆In Chicago (April 11th 2006)

On March 24th, O-BIC conducted in Shanghai (China) a Promotion Seminar,
with great success, focusing on the field of environment, for its
protection and related issues. The chances of collaboration between
Osaka and Shanghai
enterprises were explored, while Osaka's attractions for business and
investments were introduced to encourage those Shanghai companies
interested in joining the Osaka market. The event was attended by 260
keen participants evidently showing Shanghai businesses' strong interest
in Osaka.

At the“BIO-2006”, the largest BIO event of the U.S., a breakfast Forum
will be held, to introduce the great potentials and attractions of Osaka
in the bio and pharmaceutical fields and also to invite to Osaka
participating companies from not only the U.S. but from other countries
as well.

★Virtual Business Talks (V.B.T.)

【To GRASP A NEW BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY WITH JAPANESE COMPANIES,
　APPLY NOW FOR THE 1st STAGE V.B.T. 2006！】

Virtual Business Talks (V.B.T.) is an exhibition and business talks
program on the Internet principally operated by OCCI.
Participating companies can post all information, on the Internet
both in English and Japanese, on company outlines, products and
services, for good publicity using some photos.

Our well-experienced trade specialists, as their off-line service, help
you find your business partners in Japan, by making direct contact with
Japanese companies that would meet the business needs of overseas
participants.

In the last 3 years, 350 overseas companies participated in V.B.T. from
30 countries/regions, for whom 1,311 cases of business talks were
arranged with Japanese companies that met the overseas participants’
business needs.

Also, with the monthly average accesses of 164,000 pageviews to
“Cyber G-BOC”(an international business support website with V.B.T.
as the main program), V.B.T. proves to be a highly popular program with
numerous users.

We are now accepting applications (deadline: April 30th 2006) for the
1st stage V.B.T. 2006.
