It is my great pleasure to present to you the 1st issue of OCCI e-Magazine.
In the fiscal 2005 (April 2005-March 2006) 2,967 overseas delegates and
business-people from 37 countries and regions have visited OCCI enabling 
us to gain opportunities of active international exchanges.  

With the aim of further developing various interactions between the
Osaka-Kansai region and the rest of the world, we look forward to doing 
our part, through the e-Magazine, to serve your needs.

a) Case Study of a Foreign Company advancing into Osaka, with assistance

JAPAKO COMMUNICATIONS Co., Ltd. was established in Osaka City based on 
a joint venture agreement between YOUNGSAN INFO-COMMUNICATION Co., Ltd. 
of Korea and SANYO Electric Co., Ltd.  The company has been doing business 
in Osaka since April 2004, centering on the e-learning business.
  
We had an interview with Mr. Kang, who was involved in the establishment 
of the company as a manager and is now running the company as President.
